NORTH OXEN - ROUND 5

Round 5 at North Oxon started with a trip down the M40 for us as the CLA game fair would maybe interrupt the trip up the A34.
When we got there the sun was shining no wind… brilliant!! After a quick session on the plinking range it was time for session 1 to kick off.

The course seemed long…yardage wise… otherwise was good. Looking down the lane I could see Dave Lillywhite deep in concentration.
On the way back through from peg 30 to number 1 I knew it wasn’t my day… but everyone has one of those days… Terry looked quietly confident whilst when asking Mike and Vin “How’s it going?” they both replied in two separate instances “Yeah, OK”, which then I knew they were doing well!!!! I finished the course and saw Vin finishing off with 2 targets to go 1 kneel or stand and then a long one to finish on 59, then Mike came along and told me 57.. brilliant start to the team score.
Nick Thomas came along next 57 “AWESOME” He looked chuffed as a chuffed thing!!

    
  Big 'H' is one to watch for the future.

Sitting doing badges with Brian Samson next to me it was apparent that Anston had done well, with Kieran clear then after the 2nd session Chris Cundey clear as well.
A few anxious faces on the MAD members running around to find out who had the Anston top 5 scores.

Top MAD scorers of the day were Owen, Darren, Vinnie, Mike and Nick with a total score of 290…. 1 point ahead of Anston, 5 out of 5 wins for the team.

Shoot off for 3rd, 4th and 5th saw Owen and Vin take on Sparky with some tricky standing targets.

The final score was Owen 4th and Vin 5th.
