We are fortunate in having several ranges
available which means that we are able to cater for a range of shooting
disciplines. We have monthly
Hunter Field
Target (HFT) competitions, and regular
Field Target (FT) competitions, and visitors and
non members are always
welcome to compete.
Some members enjoy shooting competitively, and the club
has a team that is taking
part in the nationwide UKAHFT series and are
hoping for a reasonable
level of success, Check out their progress here. For those that don't compete we have an excellent
zero and plinking range with ample space for more than 30 shooters at a time.
We are open 7 days a week, 52 weeks of the year, with only an annual membership to pay, members pay no daily range fee's. With this membership you will automatically receive your B.F.T.A. ( British Field Target Association) card and insurance, entry to club held competitions does carry an extra fee. We have a warm, dry clubhouse with free tea and coffee making facilities (except on competition days - 50p), there is also a gas hob for cooking. We have running water and the best Ladies and Gent's toilets around.
First and foremost, Maldon and District Air Rifle Club is a fun, safe place to shoot, and meet like minded people. We
want members to get involved in the running of the club, with the course
setting, we also need and value members comments and feedback, this
will enable us to keep progressing the club to the next level. So, whether you are a beginner or experienced shooter, whatever age, calibre or rifle type, come and give us a try, your first visit is free, you have nothing to lose.
